Magapunko Rock Pools

My birthday was coming up, which meant I got to decide where we went next...and the Philippines seemed like an obvious choice! Instead of monks, they have priests, instead of pho they have adobe, instead of dogs they have water buffalo.

After spending a few days in Manilla we took an overnight ferry to the island of Siargao. It was so beautiful and the people were so welcoming that we stayed twice as long as we intended. One of the coolest things I did there was drive our motorbike to the other side of the island to check out Magapunko pools. During low tide, the ocean reveals corals and rock formations that weave together to make the most naturally beautiful swimming hole.

Till next time,
