I've never seen a place like the Mossy Forrest. Located in the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, this chilly uphill hike is full of interlocking roots and branches all covered in moss. Atop the hills touching the clouds, it feels almost mystical, like something out of Lord of the Rings. There is a paved path, but instead we took a back entrance and saw no one (except for one guy sitting with a net catching rain water and insects). Five months into the trip and this is still the most unique hike I've been on.
