I always find myself reaching for coffee instead of tea, but after a trip to the Cameron Highlands I have been converted!
We set out one chilly morning with our guide, Jason, who over the course of our three hour hike explained the history, process and distinctions of the tea plant. We made it to the tea fields by the afternoon and passed by thousands of bushes being picked by hand. My favorite way to drink tea now is in a Malaysian drink called Cham, which is a mixture of tea and coffee. In China it's called Yuanyang and in Ethopia it's called Spreeze, but no matter what you call it, it's the best of both worlds!
